Our founder, Alison Cummins, has hands on experience of manufacturing, equipping, accreditation, logistics, sales, packaging, branding, marketing, food safety, and has been in the shoes of the businesses she mentors. She understands the issues you face and that some of the most basic questions can be difficult to get answers to.
Alison is a highly trained food scientist with a BSc (Hons) in Food science and technology, a BSc in Process Technologies and a MSc in Food Supply Chain and Business and has worked for 15 years in the Food Industry. She has opened and equipped a food manufacturing facility and achieved BRC Issue 8 Grade AA within two years of opening. She has also supplied both retail and foodservice clients and has been responsible for developing brands, sales and marketing, putting in place a Quality Management system, LEAN processing, SOP’s, trained all staff and led the audits for both factories.
Her background includes food safety, quality assurance, lean/circular economy, sustainability and green processing, supply chain, manufacturing, accreditation including BRC, Salsa and HACCP and business brand creation and expansion.
